Storing Your Kitchen Knives

The simplest thing you can do to take care of your kitchen knives and promote food safety in your kitchen is to dry your knives before storing them. Never stick your newly-washed, still-dripping knives into the knife block. Can you imagine what microbes thrive inside those dark crevices inside the knife block? Don’t encourage their growth by providing them with moisture.

Always dry your knives first. Air-drying with points down is the safest way to do it.
