SmartOven Takes Cooking Instructions from a Barcode
Samsung and Birds Eye have teamed up to offer a mealtime revolution called the Smart Oven. This “Dream Kitchen Invention” reads barcodes on frozen dinners to get precise cooking instructions. The result is a perfectly-cooked meal everytime. According to a study commissioned by Birds Eye, 17% of those surveyed rate “a barcode controlled oven as the kitchen innovation they crave most”.
While Birds Eye is the only manufaturer so far to collaborate with Samsung on this product, the service is open to frozen-food makers. Look for this feature becoming more common in the future.
