Shopping for Craft Supplies on Sale

I love a good bargain, especially when shopping for scrapbooking supplies. My mom and I had a blast last weekend with the Firefly Frenzy sales at our local Joann craft and fabric store. All clearance items were additionally 50% off (from the clearance price). It was just too much fun browsing through the items on sale. My best find was the Spring II Sticker Stack by DCWV. Regularly priced at $20 just before spring, it was marked for clearance at $14. So, with the 50% off deal, the final price came to only $7 for 25 sheets of premium stickers! Can you believe it?!

I wasted no time at all in using the stickers. I made 2 cards for Father’s Day for my husband. One’s from me and the other’s from our son.

Being a member of Joann’s mailing list gives me both advanced notice of their upcoming sales event and coupons for at least 40% off. If I see any item I want, I wait for a coupon to arrive before buying it. More buying power for my buck!

The store doesn’t just have a huge selection of scrapbooking merchandise. They have items for almost every crafter. My mom made these throw pillows from materials bought entirely at Joann’s, and all on sale.

I just wish all craft stores had a preferred member list. Shopping for craft supplies would be double the fun!
