Safety Tips for Holiday Decorating
If you’re putting up a Christmas tree, keep these safety tips in mind:
* If you want a live tree, select a fresh one. How to tell? Needles should bend not break, and the trunk should have some sticky sap on it. Keep the tree watered.
* Keep your tree away from heat sources.
* Use only indoor lights for indoor decorating, and outdoor lights outdoors.
* Don’t leave lights on when you go to bed or leave the house.
* If you have pets or small children, place breakable ornaments high on the tree.
