Robots in the Home
JULIE MORAN ALTERIO writes about iRobot’s Roomba Vacuuming Robot. She gives a both a description of the Roomba and a look at the company’s history.
“It’s a real milestone. It’s a consumer product that’s a robot, and it’s not a robot toy. It’s demonstrated that there is a real market out there,” said Matthew T. Mason, director of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
I saw this featured in one of Disneyland’s Tomorrowland displays. I’d love to hear feedback from any reader who has one!
