Review: Johnson & Johnson’s Melt Away Stress Products

by Maricar on April 21st, 2008

Last week was a stressful week for me, with a birthday party, tax time and a whole lot of stuff going on. It was the perfect week to receive a package of Johnson & Johnson’s Melt Away Stress Products. I half suspect that the package’s arrival was timed precisely to coincide with tax week!

So what are these products all about? They are a new line of items from J&J designed to help soothe stress. There are four products in this line:

24 Hour Moisturizing Wash
Body Lotion
Dreamy Night Cream (not shown)
Massaging Moisturizer

All four share the same scent called Aromasoothe, and this is what gives the “melt-away stress” effect. It’s a light lavender scent that reminds me of being in a spa. The body wash, lotion and night cream are also the same color, pale lavender. The massaging moisturizer is a clear oil, designed to be used during a massage.

I like the moisturizing best since the scent is not overwhelming at all. It also leaves just a trace of the fragrance on my skin after a shower. The massaging oil is a great accompaniment to a massage after a day’s work. Though I’m not a big fan of scented lotions or creams, I find that the Dreamy Night cream is perfect just before bedtime. I don’t know how or why but I find that the scent really does promote relaxation, and thus sleep! And it’s an effective moisturizer too!

I don’t use all the products together, or one after the other. I like my scents light, and using everything all at once just gets to be too much for me. They all have the same fragrance anyway, so I can switch from one to another as I like.
