Quick Kitchen Tips from Tim Thompson
Gainesville Times writer Tim Thompson shares a few kitchen tricks:
When spraying your muffin pans with nonstick cooking spray, don’t do it over your counter. You’ll have to clean the oily residue afterward. Instead, open your dishwasher door and spray the pans over the door. The residue spray will be cleaned off the door the next time you run the dishwasher.
And here’s one I’ve tried:
You never should pour leftover cooking grease down your sink. It will cause the sink to become stopped up. Instead, make sure that you save your heavy-duty cardboard milk containers after using them. (Wash them with soap and store them under your sink.) Just pour the leftover grease into the cardboard container and throw away.
