Post-Christmas Musings
I hope you’ve had a very merry time with your families. I certainly had fun!
This year, our gift-giving was simpler than on previous years. There being quite a number of relatives residing close by, we each drew one name from a hat instead of buying presents for everyone. We set up wish lists that each Secret Santa could choose from. Oh what a stress-reliever it was not to have to think of the perfect gift for the grown-ups! I knew that the person I was giving the gift to was going to like the gift. I got a copy of the Chronicles of Narnia, and I’m really enjoying it. Finding out who picked who’s name out of the hat and the anticipation of gifts that we all wanted were the highlights of our evening. A lot of fun and laughter all around! We’re definitely doing this again next year. Maybe the lumps of coal that someone got would show up once more. ;)
