My Home was “Picked-Up” for 10 Minutes

This is such a rare occurrence in my house. For the first time in a long time, the living room and dining room were completely picked up and neat. Picked up, to me, means that everything’s where they’re supposed to be. It means that there no toys on the floor (not even one piece of a puzzle!), no clothes in the living room, not a scrap of paper on the dining room table.
It’s so rare that I took photos of it! Just to remind myself that it is possible once in a blue moon. That this is what I want the house to look like all the time. That someday, this is what it will look like at least most of the time.
This order and neatness lasted all of 10 minutes. While I was taking photos, the two mess-instigators in the house were having a snack, some of which ended up on the floor. When they were done, well, we went back to normal. :)
But I, at least, had my 10 minutes of smug assurance that I can actually keep house.

Too funny. That’s how I feel. My house stays fairly neat but I want it perfect so I can find stuff. But kids love their messes (fun). I also love your screen, I’ve been thinking of getting one because right now I have an actual office but at my new place I won’t so this might work to screen an office area off.

The screen hides my work area, where I’m actually at right now. So you can picture me behind it typing away! LOL
I’m OK with fun messes, cause they keep the kids busy. But sometimes, I just want to be able to see nothing but the floor. :)
