Laundry Tips and Basics

From the Brewton Standard comes a smattering of tips for removing stains from alcoholic beverages, candle wax, chocolate, coffee, tea, soda, fruit, grease and lipstick.
Grease - To remove grease or cooking oil, use a dry-cleaning solvent or pre-treat with a laundry product by rubbing into stain until saturated. Wash in warm to hot water. Air-dry and repeat if necessary.
Lipstick - To remove lipstick, scrape fabric stain with a dull knife. Pre-treat with a dish detergent or stain removal treatment, (ex. Shout) or use a dry-cleaning solvent. Wash in warm water. Air dry.
And for a step-by-step crash course on doing laundry, check out this article from SoYouWanna.com. It covers the following steps in 5 well-written pages:
1. Gather your materials
2. Separate and evaluate your clothes
3. Wash
4. Dry
5. Fold
I honestly couldn’t have written a more detailed guide for the novice launderer.

I think that if you articulate your ‘main categories’ by explaining 4-6 sub-groupings (whites, darks, colors, etc.) , you will have a much higher rate of success, relating to “HITS”
