How to Save At Least $3000 Annually
When trying to live frugally (/wisely), it’s usually the little things that count. Add up the dimes, they’ll equal dollars, which add up to hundreds, even thousands, of dollars.
Here are just some money-saving tips quantified to reflect annual savings:
*Pack your own lunch - $1400
*Avoid vending machines - $100
*Turn down thermostat 10% - $150
*Bring your own coffee - $360
*Use credit cards that give back money - $60
*Take advantage of medical flexible savings accounts - $200
*Clip coupons - $520
And if you buy an inexpensive used car instead of a new one, you save $4800.
Incidentally, coupon-clipping is not just for the cash-strapped. The wealthy do it too. According to About.com’s Donna L. Montaldo:
In a survey commissioned by Visa, of around 800 consumers who annually earn at least $125,000 in household income a year, 72 percent of them clip coupons compared to the national average of 65 percent.
