Hidden Poisons in the Home

Babyproofing the home is a continuous process. Even after we put in drawer and cabinet locks, there’s still much to do. Babycenter.com has a list of poisons found in the home. Most of us know enough to keep cleaning products out of children’s reach. But how about cosmetics and baby oil? These items could also be hazardous to your child if ingested or inhaled.

In addition to the obvious precautions such as locking up medicines, BabyCenter advises parents not to trust child-resistant containers (some kids will be able to get past them!) and to never refer to medicine as candy.

Let’s keep our home clean, organized and safe for even the littlest members of our family!
