Good Housekeeping’s Good Buy Awards 2005

by Maricar on December 22nd, 2005

The following are this year’s winners of Good Housekeeping’s Good Buy Awards, given for new products that make life easier:

- Procter & Gamble’s Tide to Go, an instant stain-remover pen

- Lite Cylinder Co. Composite Cylinder, a gas container that’s useful for cookouts

- GE Profile Dishwasher with SmartDispense, which holds and dispenses 3 months worth of detergent

- The Bissell SpotBot, for cleaning out carpet stains

- AOSafety Select Glasses, stylish shades for the do-it-yourself woman

- Whirlpool Fabric Freshener, which de-wrinkles clothes without ironing

- Simmons Beautyrest with HealthSmart Bed, with its machine-washable mattress top

- Target Pharmacies’ ClearRx medicine bottle, with colored rings and prescription labels printed in large letters

I’ve only had the chance to use Target’s new medicine bottles, and, even without the Good Buy award, I’d say they’re a good idea! (Why haven’t anyone thought of color-coded medicine caps before?)
