Cookie Swap Giveaway

by Maricar on December 4th, 2007

I have a cookie swap kit to give away to one lucky cookie-loving reader!

So, what’s a cookie swap? It’s a party where participants exchange samples of their their favorite cookies and their recipes. It’s a time to enjoy with your friends, just before the holiday rush really gets going. It’s a chance to sample different kinds of cookies, without having to bake them all!

This weeek, I’m giving away this cookie swap starter kit. It comes with Reynolds parchment paper, recipe cards, invitations, a cookie tin, and tips and tricks for hosting your own cookie swap.

Here’s how to join this giveaway:

Share your favorite cookie recipe by leaving a comment. Include one of the following:

a) the complete recipe,
b) a link to the recipe on your blog, or
c) a link to the recipe on a website

If you have a blog and you link back to this post, I will count that as another entry. This giveaway will be open till 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, December 7. I’ll pick the winner by random drawing that same night, so be sure to check back.

This giveaway is being sponsored by Reynolds Parchment Paper, in partnership with expert cookie exchange hostess, Robin Olson. Find tips for baking the best cookies and hosting a fun party at ReynoldsSimpleSecrets.com.

What a fun idea! My neighbor used to hold cookie swaps regularly. Then most of the gals who participated moved away or had other interests. But it was fun to get a sampling of so many cookies. I often write about this idea in my Country Kitchen column for print media. Will mention yours in my Quilting and Patchwork column when I get home from teaching. Am off for a day of subbing now.

My favorite cookie is actually just a plain chocolate chip cookie that you can find here: http://www.crisco.com/Recipes/Details.aspx?recipeID=2102. But let me tell you, I get more compliments on that cookie than anything else! People are always raving on and on about my chocolate chip cookies!
