Welcome to Keeping the Castle! My name is Maricar and I’ve been writing about home-keeping since 2005.

As a homekeeper, mother of two, and avid hobbyist/crafter, I am always looking for ways to make chores easy. I believe that we can all make our homes pleasant to live in, cook meals for ourselves and our family, and keep up with laundry, without having to spend all our time doing it. My goal is to find practical and effective ways to manage my home, so I can have more time to do the things that I truly enjoy! And Keeping the Castle is where I share these tips with you.
