A Messy House
Our house got into a bit of a mess this week. Toys everywhere. Photo albums and books on the island. A plastic lawn mower in the hallway. We had the carpet cleaned earlier this week, and so had to clear out most of the first floor. The carpet didn’t dry in the expected 4-6 hours… blame it on our graying falltime weather. So we didn’t put items back where they belonged for at least 24 hours. Isn’t it weird how it’s easier to remove things from their places than it is to put them back?
I’m glad to say that things are slowly getting back into place. The books are disappearing from the kitchen counters. And yay! Our carpet’s clean and fresh, all ready for the holidays. The only thing left to do is get the last few stubborn little knick-knacks back into their proper corners.
